Lovely place. Had the full English & tea, delicious. Some of the museum attractions are outside, so you can see them as you come in/out. Nice gardens to enjoy whilst eating.

A lovely little countryside tea room which I recommend to everyone. Lots of different options on the menu, and even a separate vegan menu- they cater for all! I had a vegan sausage sarni, and other guests even commented that they wished they ordered the same as me! Proper Tea pigs tea, and really lovely coffee. Free parking too. And really comfy sofas!

A great little café. Next door to the museum of power, the café has an old beam track with the manual chain hoist in the center keeping some of the history of the building. Despite the industrial history, the cafe still has a warm and cosy feeling to it with a nice comfortable sofa in the center. A great varied breakfast, lunch and vegan menu with something to suit anyone. There's a nice outdoor seating area for those warmer months. If you're in the area, I'd recommend popping by.

not just your average tea room ...

Situated within a former steam pumping station (now the Museum of Power) The Steam Pump Tea Room provides a unique and charming setting to enjoy breakfast, lunch, or just a pot of tea and cake.
There's plenty to see here too during your visit - the Museum of Power has lots to offer inside and also provides great scenery and space to wander around the grounds outside.  It takes just 25 minutes to walk along the River Blackwater into the center of Maldon, and with close proximity to Beeleigh Falls  - it's the perfect place to stop in for a well-earned rest.
